“Evidences of the Poet”was inspired during the making of this album and is another reason for me to increase in gratitude. The entire piece consists of prayers upon Prophet Muhammad (Allah’s Blessings and Peace be upon him). Some of these prayers are extracted or paraphrased from other poems on the album and about two thirds of these prayers are new inspirations. This is a pattern we can see when compilations of similar work are done in Arabic and indeed the word “Evidences” itself is taken from the Arabic, “Dala’il”. The rhythm of the wording is intended to bear resemblance to similar works in Arabic. I intend to continue with this genre.

“Holy Gnosis” is an effort at expressing spiritual experiences that are difficult to articulate in words. In my mind it has a universal appeal that anyone who is seeking Divine Closeness will appreciate.

“His Greatest Favor” is an effort at showing gratitude for God sending Prophet Muhammad (Allah’s Blessings and Peace be upon him), expressing that this is our greatest blessing and we fall short in giving thanks for it.
