I know my words do not praise Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but rather Muhammad and his mention sallallahu alayhi wa sallam praises them!

HADITH QUDSI

That the tradition of Islam is still alive in the same way it was when it began is a great treasure for us to excavate. Part of what is meant here is the tradition of narration of the Qur’an and the statements of Prophet Muhammad (Allah’s Blessings and Peace be upon him) that has always preceded what has been written down. Indeed this tradition of narration for me has been at the heart of the blessing of remaining firm on the path of Allah.

I chose to include a few Hadith Qudsi with this project from the first collection of 101 Hadith Qudsi ever compiled, the Miskat al Anwar of Shaikh al Akbar, ibn al Arabi (May Allah Sanctify his secret). They were narrated to me on several occasions through an unbroken chain back to the compiler.

The book itself is a daily meditation for me and I highly recommend it. The overarching summary of the three selected here is as follows. Firstly, sincerity is a profound and essential matter of life that we should all actively contemplate and seek. Secondly, and connected to the first, abandon all worldly attachments. Thirdly, and part of how the first two may be reached, have abundant unceasing prayers upon The Best of all Creation (Allah’s Blessing and Peace be upon him)! Please enjoy them!
